The handle is made with a 1 1/4″ fiberglass tube, with a 15/16″ wood dowel inside for added support at the head. This is one of the simplest in design, but has become popular in numerous roofing markets in the Midwest and Eastern United States. Made with a 1″ x 6″ standard pipe center welded on the spade.
